Hallmark and Netflix aren’t the only networks getting into the LGBTQ+ Christmas movie business.
14) Friends and Family Christmas (2023) – Hallmark+ and others.
This one centers on lesbian friends (Humberly Gonzalez & Ali Liebert) who must pose as a couple for the holidays… and you’ll never guess what happens!
15) A Keller Christmas Vacation (2025) – Hallmark+
This ensemble piece stars (surprise!) Jonathan Bennett as one of three adult siblings who reluctantly join their parents on a Danube river cruise for Christmas, leading to family bonding, unexpected romance, and resolving old issues amidst European Christmas backdrops.
With the similar actors, sets, and plots, it can be difficult to remember which one had which fading star of yesteryear playing the mom. Out actor Cheyenne Jackson plays the straight romantic lead. In this Christmas special, Zoey tries to make a great Christmas for her family despite this being the first without her father. It’s about a family from Connecticut that congregates for the holidays.
14. Yes – this real-life couple generate a believable amount of TV movie warmth.
The Christmas Setup follows the story of New York lawyer Hugo (Ben Lewis) who heads to Milwaukee with his best friend Madelyn (Ellen Wong) to spend the holidays with his mom Kate (Fran Drescher). It’s the perfect way to get teenagers and twenty-something to look up from their phones and join in on the fun.
It centers around a group of teenagers all of whom are handling their own trials and complications as they party on Christmas eve and a snowstorm hits their small town. Christmas At The Ranch

Let it Snow is the only teen movie on this list. It’s a beautiful, heartbreaking film, and several important scenes unfold as the two men share Christmases.
Rick Cosnett plays the Winslet role – a Brit transplanted in L.A. Maybe it’s the wine, but I found this one rather enjoyable.
12 & 13) Christmas on Cherry Lane / Season’s Greetings From Cherry Lane (2023/2024) – Hallmark +
There are actually four of these Cherry Lane Christmas movies – all are centered on the same house is different eras.
Hilarity ensues. There is a gay teen who is secretly hooking up with the popular cheerleader – a lesbian storyline that should be cliched but works well in this picture.
Unlike the others on this list, Let It Snow is made for the younger generation to get into the Christmas Spirit. While the jokes might sail right over the kid’s heads, this one might be better kept PG13.
Now he’s a workaholic from the big city who gets stuck watching his sister’s kids because of a snowstorm and she’s pregnant and going into labor or something. It’s that rare film that holds its comic and dramatic elements in perfect tension, even as it shines a fascinating light on the lives of those who are frequently shunted to the sidelines of society.

Directed by Todd Haynes and based on Patricia Highsmith’s novel The Price of Salt, Carol follows Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara) and Carol Aird (Cate Blanchett) after they have a chance meeting at a department store during the Christmas season.
We don’t want to give away endings, but you’ll like how this one turns out!
