Active participants under the age of 18 deserve the right to a Pride experience that is free of predatory behavior. The need for our community members to interact with inclusive and affirming resources, organizations, businesses, people, thoughts, ideas, and the like, is crucial to movement of Pride.

Every participant or entity involved in Spokane Pride deserves the ability to interact free of sexual assault, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct.

Providing a culture of care for young queer folk, outside of alcohol-centered activities, is what makes another organization, Odyssey Youth Movement, the shining gem in the crown of Spokane’s LGBTQ+ scene.

This nonprofit offers vital resources for ages 13-24 and is the truest of safe spaces, absent of judgment, and abundant with support for young people exploring their orientation or gender.

As a Pride organization, we are committed to celebrating all people, their identities and honoring their struggles. You get walkable pockets downtown, good coffee and food, and quick access to the riverfront and parks. Garland Drinkery is another go-to for karaoke, drag bingo, open-mic comedy, and patio time, with food trucks often parked nearby.

It often hosts events like karaoke nights and drag shows.

  • The Blind Buck: This is a popular spot among the lgbtq+Q community, known for its lively ambiance and themed nights.
  • The Globe Bar & Kitchen: Known for its vibrant nightlife and dance floor, The Globe is a hotspot for the lgbtq+Q community, especially during their themed parties and events.
  • Irv's Bar: A friendly neighborhood bar that's known for being inclusive and often hosts lgbtq+Q events.
  • Out Spokane: While not a bar or club, Out Spokane is an organization that hosts events and provides resources for the lgbtq+Q community.

    It features a parade, a festival with live entertainment, food, and vendor booths, and is a significant event for the lgbtq+Q community in Spokane.

  • Queer Art Walk: An event that showcases lgbtq+Q artists and their work. A harassment-free environment also calls for all stakeholders in Spokane Pride to approach the work and engaged participants with respect for their selves and their bodies.

    Our purpose is to carry the torch of the global Pride movement by

    strengthening connections and support among LGBTQIA2S+ organizations,

    individuals, and allies, fostering a healthy and united community that

    celebrates and amplifies social healing, and advances activism for all

    marginalized communities.

    Harassment-Free Environment

    We believe that every person involved with Spokane Pride deserves the right to a harassment-free environment.

    It's a great opportunity to explore local art and support the community.

  • Rainbow Families Picnic: An inclusive event for lgbtq+Q families to connect and enjoy a day outdoors.
  • lgbtq+Q Film Festival: A film festival that highlights lgbtq+Q-themed films, documentaries, and short films.
  • Drag Bingo Nights: These are popular events held at various venues where you can enjoy a game of bingo hosted by local drag queens.
  • lgbtq+Q Book Club: A monthly book club that focuses on lgbtq+Q literature and authors.
  • Community Mixers and Socials: Various bars, clubs, and organizations host regular mixers and social events for the lgbtq+Q community to network and socialize.

      Each June Spokane comes alive with Spokane Pride, a celebration of diversity and unity. There is no room for hate in PRIDE!

    We believe Pride is a place and space where all bodies of all abilities deserve the right to be present and honored.

    Upcoming Mega Events Nearby

    Spokane, Washington boasts an inclusive lgbtq+Q+ community.

    The following year a permit was ordered and the march was in the streets, followed by a small rally in the park.

    The motivation for organizing the Spokane Pride Parade and Festival remains the same to this day: we march for the visibility of LGBTQIA2S+ people and fight for the inclusion of all people.

    Spokane makes an easy, low-pressure base in Eastern Washington.

    Beyond that, you’ll find recurring drag shows, karaoke, trivia, and community fundraisers that keep the calendar moving year-round, often led by local bars and organizers. The Stonewall Riots were a turning point for the gay rights movement. The queer scene is smaller than Seattle’s, but it’s visible and friendly, and you won’t need to plan far ahead to have a solid night out.

    We believe Pride, and every program through Pride, is a pathway toward the well-being of our community. With many events hosted in permanent year-round venues to cultivate a culture of pride, all are welcome.

    Spokane Pride, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt volunteer organization, is dedicated to organizing and hosting inclusive, queer-

    centered events throughout the Inland Northwest year-round.

    We believe the experiences of people from the range of sexual and gender identities deserve the space to express themselves at Pride, be represented in Pride, and affirmed in their experience through Pride.
